After Daniel - Villian
After reading the memoir by Moira Farr and analiyzing the idea of villians within the memoir I have come to the conclusion that Daniel was the villian. Daniel was his own villian, he feared and hated himself. This, is a huge thing for anyone who has battled depression and thoughts of suicide, as they are the person who they are battling against. The things that are deep inside them. A raging storm that is never at rest, constantly tormenting them. Daniel then became a villian to the people around him. After his death those that knew him became tormented by him; they couldn't let rest what they could have done for them. It wasn't that they hated Daniel for what he did, they hated Daniel for leaving them. When people die, we are consumed with selfishness, 'How can WE survive without them?.' For Daniel, it was how could HE live with himself, the villians that tormented him everyday.

I agree with you its sad that Daniel became his own villian to the highest degree of taking his own life. Depression is a serious illness and its unfortunate that it is one that society places judgment on rather then empathy. I feel that this illness needs to be recognized as one that many people carry and struggle with and should be treated as such.
