Writers in their attempt to convey a non-fictional story should try as much to stick to the facts. Although details of an event may change from time to time and to whom a story is relay to, those writers nevertheless has a responsibility to uphold the contract with their readers by providing authentic details that in no way change the meaning of what really happened. Besides, for writers to base a story on false merit is too bold and the story be dismissed as being meaningless and the writer incredible.
